The Standing stone on Grubstad Print

The Standing stone on Grubstadleite may be one of the oldest remaining historical relics in Steigen. According to
Arne Dahl, the partner to Karin Knudsen who owns the site where the Standing stone stands, the University of
Tromsø have estimated the age to between 600 and 800 AD.

With Kråktinden in the background and a beautiful view over the fjord, one can readily imagine a magnificent royal residence on
the site.
