In Helnessund there is nightlife all year round. On the blackest winter the helnesværing (=the archetype of the residents of Helnessund) puts on hes thickest thermal suit, fires up the grill in the garden and sit down with their neighbors over a bottle of Cognac. In the summer the helnesværing sometimes is awake all night. If the neighbors has a garden party one night, the wife vill decides that he must organize garden party himself, though he only just recovered from the previous day. When there are enough neighbors that have held garden partys the Helnesværing begins to vary. Beach-, terrace-, the-nearest-hill-next-to-the-house-party, or something even more creative.


3. September 2010, 11:00 p.m.
The guys in Helnessund gathered to celebrate the new mailbox stand on the "triangle mail terminal".  At 12:00 p.m rumor had spread and the number of thermal-suit-clad guests were doubled.
